Eligibility Criteria: College will not be liable for forms purchased by ineligible candidates.

Note:

1. Eligibility for Admission:
   

   Must pass H.S. Exam (+2 course) of WBCHSE not earlier than 2007.
   Or
   Must pass Exam. Equivalent to H.S Exam of WBCHSE not earlier than 2007 with 5 recognized subjects (of full marks not less than 100 each) of which at least one shall be English .

Direct Admission:
Date and time of Direct Admission is given in the Admission Calendar I
Eligibility Criteria for Direct Admission: for Direct Admission is given in the table “Eligibility Criteria”.  Must pass Higher Secondary or equivalent Exam. in 2010.

2. SC/ST candidates are entitled to the concessions/benefits from the State of their origin only and not from the State where they have migrated.
   
   
3. Number of seats in all elective subjects is limited. College will have the right to disallow certain combination of elective subjects with the Honours courses.
   

Special Instruction:

• For Geography Honours  Students:
  • Students taking up Geography Honours shall give a written under taking that they are prepared to participate in field excursion anywhere in India, supported by a fitness certificate from a medical practitioner. Attendance in field trip is compulsory as part fulfillment of B.A./B.Sc. Honours Syllabi of Calcutta University
• For Geography General Students:
• Geography General will be offered only to students who obtain at least 50% in Geography in the previous qualifying examination.

• Students taking up Geography General shall give a written undertaking that they are prepared to participate in field excursion anywhere in India; supported by a fitness certificate from a medical practitioner. Attendance in field trip is compulsory as part fulfilment of B.A./B.Sc. General Syllabi of Calcutta University.

• Elective English:
• Elective English will be offered only to Students who obtain 65% marks in second language English or 60% marks in first language English .To be deleted.

Documents to be submitted with filled in forms:

The following documents must be firmly attached with the filled in application forms for admission:

• One attested photocopy copy of mark sheet of + 2 stage Examination
• One attested photocopy copy of the admit card (of Madhyamik) or any document testifying date of birth
• One attested photocopy copy of character certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
• One attested photocopy copy of SC/ST certificate from the proper authority (for SC/ST candidates)

Documents to be produced during admission:

• Original Marksheet of + 2 level (returnable after payment of fees)
• Original document testifying date of birth (returnable after payment of fees)
• Original document certifying SC/ST status of the student seeking admission from reserved quota

Online Form Entry, Download, Taking Print Out & Submission - You need to pay by credit card [no debit card, ATM, bank account] Rs.175 / 3.85 US$ online to submit the admission form. Forms are to be downloaded after  completion of Online Form Entry. Then Print-out of the Downloaded Forms are to be taken and submitted at the College Dropbox complete with necessary Documents.

Fees

Annual tuition and other fees must be paid in advance at the beginning of each session. If a student is found to be a defaulter after lapse of a reasonable period of time her enrolment will be cancelled.
