GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT UNDERGRADUATE HONOURS COURSE
The three year degree course leading to the B.A. or B.Sc. Degree with Honours is meant for those who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 course) conducted by the West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Examination (WBCHSE) or an equivalent Examination conducted by any other state Board/Council.
In case of Boards or Councils other than WBCHSE, a candidate must pass with five recognized subjects, including English, of full marks not less than 100 in each subject.
A student opting for B.A./B.Sc. Honours Degree Course must study the following subjects :
- One Honours subject - eight papers of 100 marks each
- Two elective subjects - three papers of 100 marks each
- Compulsory English - one paper of 50 marks
- One Modern Indian Language - one paper of 50 marks
- Environmental Studies - one paper of 50 marks
