Admission to First Year Degree Course
Academic Session 2010-2011

1. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to B.A. / B.Sc. Honours and Major Courses for the session 2010-2011.
   
   • Honours Courses:- Bengali, Economics, Education, Electronics,English, Geography, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology.
   • Major Courses:- Advertising, Sales Promotion and Sales Management, Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Communicative English.
     
     
2. Application Forms for Admission 2010 can be procured from the college counter by eligible candidates from 7th June 2010 – 11th  June 2010 between 10a.m and 2p.m.on payment of Rs.150/- for each form. Forms can also be downloaded from the College Website (http://gokhalecollegekolkata.com/form.asp) through online payment of Rs. 175 / 3.85 USD per form from 5th June (2pm) to 11th June (midnight). The college will not remain responsible if a candidate purchases forms without satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria. Such applications will be cancelled.
   
   
3. Direct Admission:

   Direct admission will be held for the following Honours & Major subjects.

   • Major:

   (i) Advertising Sales Promotion and Management.
   (ii) Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics
   (iii) Communicative English
   

   • Honours :

   (i)  Bengali
   (ii) Economics
   (iii) Education
   (iv) Electronics
   (v) Hindi
   (vi) History
   (vii) Mathematics
   (viii) Philosophy
   (ix) Political Science

   Date and time of Direct Admission is given in the Admission Calendar I
   Eligibility Criteria for Direct Admission is given in the table “Eligibility Criteria”.

4. Candidates should consult the prospectus for filling up of forms to avoid cancelling
5. Filled in forms with attached Documents will be received in the college till
   12noon,12th June, 2010.
6. 22% AND 6% OF SEATS IN EACH SUBJECT ARE RESERVED FOR SC AND ST CANDIDATES RESPECTIVELY.
   
7. Subject-wise merit list will be published on 24th June 2010 at 11:00 a.m for admission of students.
8. Dates will be fixed and notified as “ADMISSION CALENDARS” for admission of students whose names appear in the merit list and the candidates will have to report in the college for admission on specified dates and time.
9. Application of candidates, who fail to report for admission on the stipulated dates, will be deemed as cancelled.

Online Form Entry, Download, Taking Print Out & Submission - You need to pay by credit card [no debit card, ATM, bank account] Rs.175 / 3.85 US$ online to submit the admission form. Forms are to be downloaded after  completion of Online Form Entry. Then Print-out of the Downloaded Forms are to be taken and submitted at the College Dropbox complete with necessary Documents.
